Team / Division Overview
Within the CAO Division of DWS, the Client and Investment Monitoring department support KYC and Due Diligence (Client, Transactional and Service Provider) related to Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Counter Terrorism Finance and Sanctions and Embargoes and have a direct impact on the firm's ability to detect and avoid unnecessary financial crime risk. The team ensure the business is compliant with all relevant AML requirements, has robust business line monitoring processes in place and supports the business in ensuring ongoing compliance of key regulatory matters.
Role Details
As an AML/KYC Team Lead - Service Provider & Transactional Due Diligence you will be responsible for:
• Manage the US Service Provider & Transactional AML Due Diligence team and support team on daily activities.
• SME for completing Service Provider & Transaction AML due diligence reviews across the Alternatives/Private Markets investment platform (Real Estate, Infrastructure, Private Equity, Sustainable Investments and Direct Lending)
• Completing AML Due Diligence on new and existing Alternative Asset Management fund appointed service providers and transactions;
• Reporting issues/progress in time efficient manner;
• Escalations and liaison with relevant second line functions as appropriate;
• Support with project work We are looking for:
• BA/BS or JD/Masters preferred
• Advanced Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) and AML experience within financial services,
• Sound experience of the investment transaction process in Asset Management, with a particular focus on Alternative/Illiquid strategies including Real Estate, Infrastructure and Private Equity.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills,
• Ability to communicate with senior members of staff,
